Choose flooring before handover
Selecting the product early gives time to confirm stock, pack quantities, colours, trims and stair-nose lead times. Final measurements should still be checked against the completed home.
Check the new subfloor
A new slab is not automatically ready for floating flooring. Flatness, cleanliness, stability and moisture conditions must meet the selected product's installation requirements.
Coordinate skirting, scotia and doors
Ask the builder what skirting will be installed, whether it can be fitted after the floor, and what door clearances and transition heights will remain. Early coordination usually produces a cleaner finish.
